JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Will remove material from stock working from order cut schedules and written instructions; spooling and cutting finished cables to length per customer needs.
  • Visually inspects cable for damages and/or short lengths advising supervision of any deficiency.
  • Will be responsible to aide in the packaging and lagging of reels in preparation for shipping.
  • At times will be required to aid in loading truck or be a spotter during loading.
  • Will perform preventive maintenance procedures, 6S activities and participate in continuous improvement events.
  • Must always maintain work area in a safe and orderly condition.
  • Ensure all products meet requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems.
  • Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
  • Will be required to work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.

Requirements:
Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
Experience:
  • Some manufacturing experience or proven/demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Must complete on job training (OJT) for specific job classification as required in a timely manner.
Skills/Attributes:
  • Must be able to use pneumatic tools, such as air nail guns and hand drills.
  • Must be able to train for forklift licensed or certification.
  • Must be able to work independently according to verbal and written instructions.
  • Must learn basic computer transactions and inputs; must have ability to become certified SAP User.
  • Must have basic math and communication skills. Must develop and maintain proficiency in required job skills.
  • Must be capable of lifting or moving 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting or moving 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to distinguish different colors

Wage Range: $20.88 to $24.66
