Position Description:
  • Engages in facility problem solving activities to reduce scrap, material reduction, increase capability, and productivity.
  • Addresses daily quality concerns and questions. Offers recommendations as required.
  • Troubleshoots manufacturing problems and quality issues. Works with Operations and Quality personnel to investigate, collect and analyze data to resolve and implement corrective action, where applicable.
  • Work closely with operation teams to ensure process controls are in place and adequate to meet standard requirements.
  • Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
  • Ensure that any non-conforming product is properly identified, quarantined and communicated.
  • Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds.
  • Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:

  • Knowledge of specific and general safety policies and procedures as relates to plant and position.
  • Must be proficient in computer skills - Excel, Word, and Outlook and SAP.
  • Must have above average math and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to perform applicable test requirements using the following equipment: micrometer, dial indicator, calipers, and OD tapes.
  • Must be able to lift product, materials, and equipment as necessary to perform the job.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and write the English language.
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Some manufacturing experience preferred.

Hiring Range: $25.04 to $29.90 per hour
